A ferry ride will take you to Vancouver Island this morning. Facilities on the ferry include a dining room, a café and a gift shop. The Super Ferry has a total length of 160 metres and can carry about 2000 passengers. Once can enjoy the breakfast buffet along with the beautiful scenery of Georgia Strait. You will arrive at Victoria in about 2 hours, which is where the Legislative Buildings of the provincial government are located. Upon arrival, we shall proceed to visit Canada’s oldest Chinatown, where you can take pictures at The Gates of Harmonious Interest and Fan Tan Alley – Canada’s narrowest street at only 0.9 metres in some places. Visit the Thunderbird Park which was built in 1941, where some aboriginal artists display their totem poles carved at the First Nations historic sites. Then, visit the nostalgic British style Inner Harbour, as well as the British Columbia Parliament Buildings and the Fairmont Empress Hotel. You can also visit the Royal BC Museum, Pacific Undersea Gardens (own expense) and have pictures taken at Mile “0” where Cross Canada’s highway starts. After lunch, visit Butchart Garden, which includes five major areas – the Sunken Garden, the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and Mediterranean Garden. More than one million flowers bloom continuously throughout the year. Return to Vancouver in the evening by ferry.
