  • Day 1: Arrival – Chengdu (D)
    Fly to Chengdu, the guide will meet you and take you for some sightseeing in Chengdu city, which covers the Chengdu Panda Research Base and Jinli Folk Cultural Village. The Chengdu Panda Research Base is one of the major highlights for the Chengdu tour. It was constructed in 1987 and opened to the public in 1988. Its purpose is to enlarge the population of Panda bears and reintroduce them back into nature. This visit allows you to have a deep understanding and love for such an endangered creature.
    Day 2: Chengdu – Lhasa (B/L/D)
    After your breakfast at hotel, transfer to Chengdu airport for your domestic flight to Lhasa. Our guide will meet you at Konggar Airport and transfer you to Lhasa city with about two hours of driving ride ahead of us (100km). On the way, you'll be greeted by Nie Tang Buddha - a Buddha image engraved in the mountain face. After you have arrived in Lhasa, you will get some time to rest and acclimatize.
    Day 3: Lhasa (B/L/D)
    You'll have the whole day of sightseeing to do in this holy city. In the morning, visit one of Lhasa's landmarks - Potala Palace, a structure that deserves a place as one of the wonders of eastern architecture. In the afternoon, you will visit Jokhang Temple; the most revered religious structure in Tibet. Next up are the Nunnery and the surrounding area which is called Barkhor: Lhasa's pilgrimage circuit. This area is both the spiritual heart of Lhasa and the main commercial district for Tibetans.
    Day 4: Lhasa (B/L/D)
    You'll have another day to explore more monasteries in this holy city. In the morning, you’ll visit Drepung Monastery which used to be the world's largest monastery with a population of around 10,000 monks. In the afternoon, pay a visit to Sera Monastery which is famous for its "Buddhism Scriptures Debates". Then, you will travel to Norbulingka - Dalai Lama's Summer Palace, which contains the summer palaces of the 13th and 14th Dalai Lamas and is characterized by its spacious walled garden; the main throne hall; an audience hall; Dalai Lama's private apartment and his mother's apartment.
    Day 5: Lhasa – Gyantse – Shigatse (B/L/D)
    From this day, you'll get to explore the outside of Lhasa. In the morning, drive 110km to visit Yamdroktso - one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. The journey consists of winding road up the mountain; bumpy but somewhat thrilling. After you pass over the Kambala pass of 5030m, the lake finally appears. Seen from the summit of Kambala pass, the lake is a fabulous shade of deep turquoise. After travelling down from the mountain, there’s about a 30km road along the lakeside, with barley fields on the other side of the road. A nice walk by the lakeside can be a great joy. Leaving Yamdroktso is as spectacular as arriving since you’ll cross the 5045m Karola, with its awesome roadside views of the Nojin Kangtsang Glacier. In the afternoon, you'll go to Gyantse to visit Kumbum Monastery located there. After that you’ll drive about two hours (100km) to Shigatse.
    Day 6: Shigatse – Lhasa (B/L/D)
    In the morning, you'll pay a visit to the residence of Panchen Lama - Tashilunpo Monastery. After visiting this magnificent monastery and having lunch at Shigatse, you'll go back to Lhasa along the Yarlong Tseangpo River, enjoying the great landscape en route.
    Day 7: Lhasa – Nyingchi (B/L/D)
    In the morning, drive to Nyingchi area along the Yalong valley, where we will have a hike along this
    Day 8: Nyingchi (B/L/D)
    After breakfast, you'll go and see the old pine which takes about 2500 years to grow before paying a visit to the special Temple in Tibet. Lamalin Temple, a temple of Nyinma order, is an ancient order of Tibetan Buddhism. In the afternoon you will get to enjoy the Lulang forestry, which commands a long distance view of Mt. Namchak Borwa Range (average height is 7787m). On the way back to Nyingchi, one can also get to enjoy the great landscape en route.
    Day 9: Nyingchi – Chengdu – Departure (B)
    Pack your luggage as it is almost time to leave this beautiful place. The guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane. Say goodbye to Tibet.

Wu Hou Temple (1.5 hours): The Marquis of Wu, Zhuge Liang (181-234) was the outstanding military strategist immortalized in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and in the saying wise as "the Marquis of Wu".       Day 4: Emeishan - Chengdu (B/L)
      Highlights: Monastery of Ten Thousand Years, Emei Mountain, Transfer from Emeishan to Chengdu, Cable Car leading to Monastery of Ten Thousand Years. Monastery of Ten Thousand Years (1 hour): 1,043 meters above sea level, was built in the 4th century. It was burned several times in the following centuries. The present brick building was reconstructed in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The Brick Hall, a domed building with small stupas on it, was built of bricks. In the hall is a statue of the Bodhisattva. Puxian on a white elephant, 8.5 meters high, cast in copper and bronze. It weight is estimated 62 tons. And this status was here in 980AD. Emei Mountain (50 minutes): One of the most famous mountains for Buddhism in China. It has many temples and beautiful scenery. Baoguo Temple lies right at the foot of Mt. Emei. Cable Car leading to Monastery of Ten Thousand Years (20 minutes): The Wannian Monastery is the largest of the eight monasteries to be found on Mount Emei. It is dedicated to Bodhisattva Puxian who famous for his preaching. Overnight in Chengdu.
      Day 5: Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou (B/L)
      Highlights: Huanglong Scenic & Historic Interest Area, Huanglong Chair Lift (Up), Huanglong Chair Lift (Down).After Breakfast, your private tour guide & driver will transfer you to Chengdu Airport for your domestic flight to Jiuzhaigou. Huanglong Scenic & Historic Interest Area (4.5 hours): Huanglong is located on the easternmost of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It belongs to Songpan county, Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture, Sichuan province. It is 300 kilometers far away from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. And Jiuzhaigou Valley is as its neighbor. It is close to the boundary of Sichuan, Gansu, and Shanxi province. The whole interest area looks like a golden dragon by overlooking. That is the reason why the place calls Huanglong, which means a golden dragon in Chinese. Huanglong is over 300 kilometers far away from Chengdu. The main area is consisted of Huanglong Valley, Danyun Valley, Red-star Cave, Xuebaoding, Mouni Valley, and Songpan Ancient City, etc. The total area occupies 1340 square kilometers.       Highlights: Shuzheng Valley, Sight-seeing Public Vehicle in Jiuzhaigou Valley, Rize Valley, Zechawa Valley, Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area. Shuzheng Valley : Shuzheng Valley is reputed as the epitome of Jiuzhaigou. The Shuzheng Qun Hai (Shu Zheng Lakes) in this valley is the entrance to the beautiful and splendid Jiuzhaigou. With a total length of 13.8 kilometers, Shuzheng contains over 40 various lakes, occupied 40% of the total in Jiuzhaigou and stretching along Shuzheng Gully for 5 to 6 kilometers.The lakes reflect the shining sunshine, named respectively as: Luwei Hai (Reed Lake), Penjing Hai, Huohua Hai (Sparking Lake), Wolong Hai (Sleeping Dragon Lake), Shuzheng Waterfall, and Laohu Hai (Tiger Lake) etc. All provide visitors dream-like views. Sight-seeing Public Vehicle in Jiuzhaigou Valley: It is public transportation capacity:28-47 seats. During the travel season, it is quite crowded.       Day 4: Macau City Tour — Ferry to Hong Kong (L)

You can return by cable car, walk down or walk along the wall for about an hour to descend by chairlift. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather. Shahe Cloisonne Factory : Sha He Cloisonne Factory manufactures and sells high quality Cloisonne ware. High quality Cloisonne also called "Copper - body and wire inlaid Enamel" requires an elaborate and complicated manufacturing process including hammering, filigree welding, enamel filling, surface polishing and gilding. Summer Palace with boat Cruise and the Garden of Virtue and Harmony (2 hours): The palace is about 12 kilometers northwest of the city center and is equally as famous as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace is called 'Yiheyuan' (Garden of Nurtured Harmony) in Chinese. It is the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China and one of Beijing's premier attractions. It is also possible to cruise on the lake which takes 10 minutes by the ferry boat. Temple of Heaven (1.5 hours): Built in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty, Temple of Heaven is a complex of Taoist buildings where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties visited for annual ceremonies of pray for good harvests.       Place & Transport: Xian. Highlights: Shaanxi History Museum, The People's residence in Hu County, Xian Imperial Fine Arts center. Shaanxi History Museum (1.5 hours): The history of Shaanxi is said to be the history of China, and this museum is quite simply one of the nation's best. Four major galleries in large, Tang-style buildings house a vast and impressive collection, beautifully displayed. Most of the item labels are in English, although some other information on the exhibitions is not, but your guide can help here. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The People's residence in Hu County (1 hour): Huxian County is located 40 kilometers southwest of Xi'an. It is a picturesque place with Qinling Mountain to its south and Wei River to the north. It's also one of the cultural regions both famous at home and abroad. The farmers' paintings in this county have a long history and large variety. In late 1950's, a producer group with more than 20 people making farmers' paintings was established and later Huxian County Farmers' Painting Association was set up. The group produced some special paintings that described local culture and daily life which were different from the realistic paintings. It aroused common attention among the artists at the moment and became a country wide popular folk art soon. Xian Imperial Fine Arts Center : Xian Imperial Fine Arts mainly manufactures jade carvings and lacquer ware. Tourists can learn how the fine Chinese jade carved and the function of jade.       Day 6: Xian (B/L)
      Highlights: The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Ancient City Wall, Muslim Street. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses (2 hours): Discovered accidentally in 1974, this incredible army of over 7000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots in full battle array has guarded Emperor Qin's tomb since 210BC. Each figure is unique, and the painstaking repair and excavation continues in 3 pits which are protected inside huge hangars. 1.5 hours from Xian, there is also an excellent museum and film about the history of the vaults. Photos (no flash) are allowed. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Ancient City Wall (30 minutes): The walls, ramparts, gates and watch towers form one of the oldest and most complete city defenses still around. Built in the ,em>13th century on the foundations of the original Tang Forbidden City, it s surrounding the city centre. You can walk or pay extra cost to rent a bike (CNY40 per person), rickshaw (CNY45 per person for 45 minutes) or an electric cart (CNY40 per person) around the full 14 km circuit, with great views of the city on either side. If the weather is not good for biking on the city wall, we will substitute a visit to the Bell Tower. Your guide will be very glad to take you the Bell Tower after you have been to look at the city wall. Muslim Street (1 hour): The Muslim quarters lies 100 meters west of the Bell tower in downtown Xi'an. The 500 meters long avenue paved by blue stones are dotted with many unique stall, souvenir shop, café and bars which are mostly run by Muslim people. Tourists, especially from overseas come and shop here. Overnight in Xian.
      Day 7: Xian - Beijing - Departure (B)

      Highlights: Norbulingka, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery. Norbulingka (2.5 hours): Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". Constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama, it later served the whole government administration. It was built by the 7th Dalai Lama and served both administrative and religious purposes. Sera Monastery (3 hours): Located in the northern suburbs of Lhasa, The Sera Monastery is a complex of 4 structures; the Great Assembly Hall and three colleges. It was founded in 1419 by Jamchen Chojey of Sakya Yeshe of Zel Gungtang (1355–1435), a disciple of Tsongkhapa. 'Sera' means wild roses and was called this because the monastery was surrounded by wild roses. One of the three main monasteries of Lhasa, it is here that the monks "famous daily debates" take place. Tips: Everyday (except Mondays) at 15:00, there is a debate about Buddhist doctrines among the monks at Sera Monastery. The debating is held in the grounds and is a necessary way of learning sutras and scriptures. Visitors can watch the debate, but it is advised to keep quiet. Drepung Monastery (3.5 hours): Drepung Monastery lies in west of Lhasa under Mt. Gambo Utse, clustered round by the black mountain, its white grand buildings shining under the sunlight. Built in 1416, it is considered as one of the largest monasteries in the six principle monasteries of Gelu Sect in China. Drepung Monastery used to be the living palace of Dalai Lamas before the reconstruction of Potala palace (after the 5th Dalai Lamas was bestowed by Qing emperor Qianlong). The grand Shonton Festival is hold in the early part of August every year. That is the busiest day there with crowds of people. It is an opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of this festival.       Day 3: Lhasa (B/L)
      Highlights: Potala Palace, Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple. Potala Palace (1 hour): Former winter home of the Dalai Lama, a vast, awe-inspiring maze of corridors and stairs leading through countless rooms of richly decorated statues, tombs, murals and antiques. You will climb past the White Palace into the Red Palace, where the file of pilgrims offering silk scarves, coins or yak butter to burn in the shrines combine to make this an unforgettable experience. Note: you need to be fit for the long stairways. Barkhor Street (2 hours): Built about 1,300 years ago, The Barkhor (pilgrims’ circuit) is found in the heart of Lhasa encircling the Jokhang Temple. In the past, it was a designated circumambulation circuit, "a saint’s road" in the eyes of Tibetans. Many people call the Barkhor “the window of Tibet” as it exhibits typical Tibetan life. Watch the pilgrims, wearing their local dress from many different parts of Tibet, as they circle clockwise around Jokhang Temple with prayer wheels, or prostrate them near the front gate. Join the locals and visitors to shop for local goods at the colourful stalls, or relax in a coffee shop or tea house to enjoy the passing parade. Jokhang Temple (2 hours): Smaller and more manageable than the Potala, this 4-storey, golden-roofed temple is at the heart of a rich and living Tibetan Buddhism. Many locals pray here regularly; the Temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street and thronged with pilgrims and visitors. Yak butter lamps burn in front of rich statuary that includes the Sakyamuni Buddha brought to Tibet by Princess Wen Cheng in the 7th century. Overnight in Lhasa.
      Day 4: Lhasa - Shigatse (B/L)
      Highlights: The Palgor Chorten, Yomdrok Lake. The Palgor Chorten (1.5 hours): Pelkhor Choede (Kumbum), also named Palcho Monastery, is very different from other monasteries. Built as a Tibetan monastery, its structural style is very unique, reputed as the lord of Tibetan stupas. In addition, it is famous for the architecture, sculpture, and mural painting art. Tashilunpo Kloster represents the Tibetan super architecture art in the Last Tibetan spirit. 5 story temple which contains a 26 meters (86ft) sitting statue of the Maitreya Buddha (Jamba Chyenmu) id inside the grounds of the monastery. Hutong Tour in Xicheng District (1 hour): Hutong is a maze of historic alleyways with old single storey traditional courtyard houses, which are now fast disappearing. In this one hour tour, you can hop on a rickshaw to ride through the narrow alleys as well as visit a local family then walk on the Silver Ingot Bridge (Yinding Bridge) and find out about the different thresholds of the courtyards. Summer Palace with boat Cruise and the Garden of Virtue and Harmony (2 hours): The palace is about 12 kilometers northwest of the city center and is equally as famous as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace is called 'Yiheyuan' (Garden of Nurtured Harmony) in Chinese. It is the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China and one of Beijing's premier attractions. It is also possible to cruise on the lake which takes 10 minutes by the ferry boat 798 Art District (1.5 hours): Since 2002, the large number of artists' studios and contemporary art institutions began stationed here, and rented a scale of idle factories, and gradually developed into a gallery, the Arts Centre, artists' studios, design companies, fashion shops, bars and other catering space.       Day 5: Beijing - Xian (B/L)
      Highlights: Hotel to Beijing Airport Transfer, Domestic Flight Beijing to Xian (Economy class), Xian Airport to Hotel Transfer, Shaanxi History Museum, Xian City Wall with Bicycle. Shaanxi History Museum (1.5 hours): The history of Shaanxi is said to be the history of China, and this museum is quite simply one of the nation's best. Four major galleries in large, Tang-style buildings house a vast and impressive collection, beautifully displayed. Most of the item labels are in English, although some other information on the exhibitions is not, but your guide can help here. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Xian City Wall with Bicycle (1.5 hours): The walls, ramparts, gates and watchtowers form one of the oldest and most complete city defenses still around. Built in the 13th century on the foundations of the original Tang Forbidden City surrounding the city centre, it is a major landmark, and the best preserved, as well as the oldest and largest of the city defense systems in China. We operate this with bicycle. If the weather is not good for biking on the city wall, we will substitute a visit to the Bell Tower. Your guide will be very glad to take you the Bell Tower after you have been to look at the city wall. Overnight in Xian.
      Day 6: Xian (B/L)
      Highlights: The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian Imperial Fine Arts center, Great Mosque. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses (2 hours): Discovered accidentally in 1974, this incredible army of over 7000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots in full battle array has guarded Emperor Qin's tomb since 210BC. Each figure is unique, and the painstaking repair and excavation continues in 3 pits which are protected inside huge hangars. 1.5 hours from Xian, there is also an excellent museum and film about the history of the vaults. Photos (no flash) are allowed. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Big Wild Goose Pagoda (1 hour): A major Buddhist site, the simple, elegant brick Pagoda stands in the grounds of the attractive Da Ci'en Temple. The Pagoda was built in the 7th century to house the Buddhist materials that Xuanzang (Tripitaka) brought back from his epic journey to India. The Temple complex has several large halls with some great Buddhist statues and murals. Xian Imperial Fine Arts Center: Xian Imperial Fine Arts mainly manufactures jade carvings and lacquer ware. You can learn how the fine Chinese jade carved and the function of jade. Great Mosque (1 hour): In the heart of Xian's Muslim quarter, close to the city centre, this is one of the largest Islamic mosques in China. Remarkable for the combination of Chinese architecture with Islamic practice, the courtyards align from east to west facing Mecca. The pavilions, halls and gateways are wonderfully decorated, and this is an active place of worship for the Hui descendants of Silk Road traders and travelers. Overnight in Xian.
      Day 7: Xian - Nanjing (B/L)

Zhonghua Gate: Zhonghua Men Gate is the largest castle-style gate among the 13 ancient city gates in Nanjing. It's the best preserved and, architecturally, most complicated ancient castle in the world. The elaborately designed castle contains three closed courtyards and four arched gates serving as entrances to the city. Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum : The elaborate layout of the numerous tomb structures in the Mingxiaoling mausoleum is a fine example of ancient China's royal tomb construction, which was greatly influenced by the traditional Chinese theory of geomantic omen on location. This mausoleum also illustrates the predominant thought of power that dominated ancient China for over 5,000 years. Confucius Temple: The Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao) was built in the year 1034 and dedicated to worshiping the great philosopher Confucius. Many shops, restaurants and bars, have been included with the temple to make it a commercial and entertainment center combining rich culture and arts. Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge: This is the first bridge independently designed and constructed by the Chinese themselves.       Day 9: Suzhou (B/L)
      Highlights: Humble Administrators Garden, The Grand Canal (Cruising by Hand-operated Boat), Rickshaw ride, The No.1 Silk Factory. Humble Administrators Garden (1.5 hours): The garden is the best representative of Chinese classical gardens, constructed in the Ming dynasty, which focuses on a central pond with pavilions, terraces, chambers, and towers located nearby, the garden is divided into three parts: the eastern, middle and western parts. At 5 hectares the largest of these beautiful gardens, it is one of the most famous one. It provides everyone with pleasure. Don't miss the Garden Museum - actually don't miss any of these lovely places. You may wear comfortable shoes, as there's a lot of walking here. The Grand Canal - Cruising by Motor Boat (40 minutes): The Grand Canal ranks alongside the Great Wall of China as the country's greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in the world. Cruising on the Canal (about 30 - 40 minutes), you can see the local peoples' life. Known as the land of rice and fish, Suzhou city has a network of picturesque lakes and canals both large and small, which all link in eventually to the Grand Canal. The view from the little boats that ply the smaller canals is enchanting, whilst the traffic on the Grand Canal reminds you of Suzhou that it was the original source of the 'sea' silk road. Rickshaw ride (1.5 hours): Through the old streets &amp; Hutongs in Suzhou, you will see local people's life. The No.1 Silk Factory (1 hour): Suzhou is famous for its silk produts. Tourists may go and see how the silk is processed from worm to the final product, and some of the silk history of in China. There's also an opportunity to buy something beautiful from the showroom, or just enjoy the goods on display. Overnight in Suzhou.
      Day 10: Suzhou - Shanghai (B/L)
      Highlights: Tongli, Tongli Cruise, Our guide and driver will escort you from Suzhou to Shanghai.Tongli town has a history of more than one thousand years. There are over hundreds of gardens established in Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty, temples, cartilages and former residence of eminent souls. Fifteen rivers divide the town into seven islands and forty-nine sets of historic bridges connect the town as a whole. Tongli Cruise (30 minutes): Tongli Cruise is the best way to experience this water town. Tongli Nanyuan Tea House: The Tea House was build with traditional brick. The wooden facade is decorated in the Qing Dynasty style, and there are two floors with a total area of about 400 square meters. Tea House serves many types of tea including black teas, green teas, and scented teas. The tea house also provides smoked green beans, dried carrots and other refreshments.       Highlights: Yuyuan Garden, The Bund, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, The Shanghai World- Financial Center Yuyuan Garden (1 hour): Yuyuan Garden is located in the center of Shanghai old quarters. It was a private garden built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty, with typical Chinese classic architecture and style. The complex covers an area of 2 hectares, with rockeries, pavilions, ponds and corridors. Yuyuan Garden is surrounding by a busy market place, where visitors can find everything from popular local snacks, handicrafts, antiques and souvenirs to some famous time-honored restaurants. The Bund (40 minutes): This 1.5-kilometer-long embankment runs along the western bank of Huangpu River. On its west side it is the "architecture gallery" with 52 well-preserved old European style buildings. Once the major trading and commercial center of old Shanghai, the Bund has now taken on new vitality, with futuristic developments, chic restaurants, top end shops and bars offer plenty to see and do-and by night it's magic! Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall (1 hour): A short walk across Renmin Square from the Shanghai Museum, this is a fascinating insight into Shanghai's future. Its observation deck, at 474 meters (1,555 feet) above the ground, is currently the tallest in the world.       Highlights: Be a Shanghainese. Be a Shanghainese (5 hours): This tour will give you a chance to experience the real life of Shanghainese and to know how they think and what they do. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Caoyang New Neighbourhood, the first new-birth neighbourhood for workers since the national liberation in 1952.
